Aina Onabolu was an art educator and painter.he was born in Ijebu ode in 1882 in Ogun state Nigeria and started practicing art in 1900 and he went to England in 1920 to study in St.john's wood art school in London and in Julian Academy in Paris.he returned after two years with a diploma in art.he was a renowned painter and remained one of the greatest portrait painters.he started to receive commission between 1902 and 1903.he taught in many art schools and was regarded as the father of Nigerian modern contemporary art.he was honored with chieftaincy titles and 'the most distinguished order of British empire
